The Beginning:

The birth of artificial intelligence (AI) was thought of by conventional theorists. They endeavored to explain the process of human way of thinking as the mechanical handling of descriptions.artificial-intelligence-past-future This work finished in the innovation of the programmable advanced computer in the 1940s. Devising a machine that is capable of dynamic scientific thinking.

John McCarthy (1927-2011) was an American computer scientist and cognitive scientist. He along with several other scientist were the “founding fathers” of artificial intelligence. Marvin Minsky, Allen Nowell and Herbert A. Simon were the co-founders. They assisted McCarthy in the ground-breaking steps of this cognitive science. McCarthy gave first breath in naming the term “artificial intelligence” in 1955.

The Workshop:

McCarthy also organized the famous workshop, Dartmouth Conference in the Summer of 1956. The scholars who participated in this workshop, would turn into the pioneers of AI explorers for many years to come. A large number of them anticipated that a machine as smart as a human would exist in a short period of time.artificial-intelligence-past-future They were given millions of dollars to influence. Because of this conference,  the artificial intelligence (AI) has now became a justifiable field of interest.

Take a second to think about the implications of the ever emergent, and proficient abilities AI will bring to our future. With the innovation of artificial intelligence in today’s world. We are, it is said, on the verge of an inflection point. For insistence, there are 1.7 million truck drivers that stand to lose their jobs when self-driving trucks become the norm. There will be an array of occupations made obsolete by the march of artificial intelligence (AI) technology.

The Future:

It is estimated, due to the use of robots and artificial intelligence (AI) by 2030, many professions are vulnerable to become mechanized. We are already starting to see artificial intelligence devices making unimportant decisions instead of humans. I find this to be very fascinating. With all these predictions, I find them to be useless. We tend to forget that it took the human brain, hundreds of millions of years to evolve. And, no one has the ability to determine the growth rate of AI. Especially since we don’t have anything to compare it against…artificial-intelligence-past-future

Today, with hard work and innovation. We have built the machine learning aptitude of computers like the Amazon’s Alexa and Jibo. But, as developers design machines that teach themselves. Several questions remain over humans’ ability to effectively interact with artificially intelligent computers.

There are a large range of advanced technological breakthroughs. With AI devices and new computer machinery. With high degrees of accuracy, machines could essentially help us to find and understand new chemical elements and compounds. The tasks that artificial intelligence are able to complete are more or less unbounded. As we incorporate  AI into our daily living. The machines functions (even better in some case) fundamentally will enhance our quality of life. They will make fewer mistakes. Are emotionless,  more efficient, and; basically giving us more  free time to do as we please.

artificial-intelligence-past-futureThe human being frequently find it difficult to accept changes. And, ‘artificial intelligence’ won’t be received very well by many of us. Although, the benefits in many cases; will outweigh the disadvantages.  The presumption is, we may have an over reliance on AI. Which in retrospect  can be a good thing…
