the-power-of-patience: I believe with patience and learning to be grateful for the less significant things surrounding our lives, this will brighten and contribute to a more fulfilling existence. We sometimes overwhelm ourselves by losing focus on the superior things that are happening in our daily lives. The mind will find answers if you relax and give it time. It is so easy to get swept away by impatient anxiety and the fear of everything falling apart! A gentle reminder that the answers will come, all in due time!
Galatians 6:9 | NIV
Let us not become weary in doing good, for at the proper time we will reap a harvest if we do not give up.
Proverbs 14:29 | NIV
Whoever is patient has great understanding, but one who is quick-tempered displays folly.
Let Go of Anxiety and Let Things Happen
Patience reduces anxiety to say the least, good things are frequently happening, gradually, inch by inch; and regularly. I would add that if we feel anxious, we need to acknowledge the feeling rather than condemning ourselves for it. Embracing a negative emotion allows us to let it go. Patience allows you to really pin point the source of the anxiety. In a universe in which everything is in divine order, things might not happen as quickly as we want them to happen. When the frustrations of life come our way, our natural response is to react. Patience encourages withholding that immediate response, which is often anger.
Psalm 37:7 | NIV
Be still before the Lord and wait patiently for him; do not fret when people succeed in their ways, when they carry out their wicked schemes.
Infinite patience produces immediate results
Practicing patience is also a measure of maturity. Take that journey to infinite patience in your life, it may take some major life shakes-ups and challenges to get there. But, when you stop rushing for everything, what you want will materialize. I thought the quicker and more rapidly I spun the wheels or pressed on the accelerator the quicker I would see results. Having an attitude of patience increases personal power because you are not giving away control of the stressful situation to a person or to the problem. You then have the energy and persistence to continue forward.
2 Peter 3:9 | NIV
The Lord is not slow in keeping his promise, as some understand slowness. Instead he is patient with you, not wanting anyone to perish, but everyone to come to repentance.
